During
your consultation, we will listen to your concerns
about what changes you are considering. We'll
look at photos of other people who have had
similar procedures. This helps us understand
better what you like and don't like. Then we'll
take your photograph digitally, and use the
computer imager (and our 25 years of experience)
to create a realistic image of what you might
look like with these changes. This gives us
the chance to discuss in detail the shape and
contours you feel look best, and it permits
me to explain what the realistic possibilities
and limitations are. Although computer imaging
can not guarantee a certain result, it is a
tremendous help to me in understanding what
you like, and in developing our surgical plan.
These
three photos give you an idea of how effective
computer imaging can be in showing what might
be possible. The left is the original photograph.
In the middle is the computer image showing
the changes the patient wanted that we felt
were possible. The right image is her actual
post-op photograph after comprehensive facial
rejuvenation, including face
and neck lift, eyelids, nose surgery, and micro
fat grafting to her cheekbones and sunken areas
below her eyes and to augment her chin.
If you look carefully at these areas,
you may see some differences between the computer
image and the actual surgical results, but the
imaging can give you a fairly realistic idea.
