Your
consultation is an important time for you and
me. I will ask you to talk to me about the physical
change you are seeking and to share with me
what you like and don't like about your appearance.
|
I
will ask you to show me what you would like, and
I'll ask you questions to make sure I clearly
understand the change you desire. |
I need to examine you closely, so that I understand
your skin, your features, your facial expressions
(if you are interested in a facial procedure)
and your bone structure... and the person inside!
This will help me make the best recommendations
for you to consider.
|
We'll
talk about your options and choices so that you
can accomplish your goal in a way that suits you.
I'll also discuss with you the risks involved,
the recovery process and what you can expect as
you watch your improved appearance emerge. We'll
spend as much time as necessary to answer all
of your questions. I encourage you to write down
your questions ahead of time so we won't miss
any. |
We'll look together at photos of patients who
have undergone procedures similar to the ones
you are considering. These individual are pleased
with their outcomes and were kind enough to
let me share their pictures with you.
|
If
you are interested, we'll do computer imaging
so that you and I have a common understanding
about what the realistic possibilities will
be. This will also make it easier for you to
show me what you like and don't like and will
help me show you what the limitations are.
|
Together, we'll come up with a plan that should
work for you. I'll ask you to think it over.
And we'll have another meeting a couple of weeks
before your procedure to discuss any further
questions you may have. I encourage you to bring
your spouse or special person with you, so they
can ask questions and understand their role
in your care afterwards!
